Texas Water Problems
Even municipal water can carry chlorine, fluoride, lead and other chemicals. Crusader of Texas improves city water taste and safety. Serving Central Texas.

Municipal water is treated to be safe, but it can still carry chlorine taste and odor, fluoride, lead from plumbing, and other chemicals at levels you may prefer to reduce. We help city-water homes and businesses improve taste and reduce contaminants — often with Enhanced Filtration softening plus reverse osmosis for drinking.

Municipal water is treated to meet federal and state standards, but it can still carry chlorine or chloramine taste and odor, hardness that scales your home, and lead picked up from older household plumbing. Many homeowners filter it further for taste and peace of mind.
Both are disinfectants. Chloramine (chlorine combined with ammonia) is more stable and harder to remove than chlorine — which is why we use catalytic carbon media (SHIELD) rated for it.
A whole-house carbon filter (SHIELD Chlorine & Chloramine) reduces it at every tap, and reverse osmosis polishes drinking water at the kitchen.
Lead usually comes from older plumbing rather than the city supply. If your home predates 1986, a certified lead-reduction filter and reverse osmosis at the kitchen are sensible precautions — testing confirms whether it's present.
