The Crusader Multimedia Oxidizing (MM-OX) filter is a simple, effective iron-removal system for whole-home well water. Soluble iron and manganese are oxidized and precipitated on a proprietary manganese-dioxide–coated media, and hydrogen sulfide is oxidized into a filterable sulfur precipitate — then flushed away by vigorous backwashing. The media regenerates by sparging with ambient air, which makes it environmentally friendly.
It’s fully automatic and metered: a programmable control runs upflow air injection, backwash, rinse and refill cycles based on your water use. The fiberglass media tank is NSF, UL and FDA approved and meets WQA Standard S-100, with a limited lifetime warranty.

Soluble iron and manganese are oxidized and precipitated on contact with a proprietary manganese-dioxide–coated oxidation media, and hydrogen sulfide is oxidized into a filterable sulfur precipitate. The precipitates are trapped in the media bed and then flushed away by vigorous backwashing.
A programmable electronic control meters your water use and runs upflow ambient-air injection, backwash, rinse and refill cycles automatically — regenerating the media with air instead of harsh chemicals. The fiberglass media tank is NSF, UL and FDA approved and meets WQA Standard S-100.
