Most water treatment gets sold backwards: pick a system, then hope it matches the water. We work the other way. Forensic water analysis means we test your actual water — at your tap, from your source — and let the chemistry dictate the design.
Central Texas water is anything but uniform. Hardness swings from about 8 to over 30 grains between communities. Some cities run chlorine, others chloramine. Hill Country wells add iron, sulfur, bacteria, tannins, low pH — sometimes several at once, and sometimes radium or uranium where the granite says so. A system sized to an average is undersized for someone.

Two houses on the same street can need different systems; the water decides, not the catalog.
Test strips read one or two parameters. Forensic water analysis looks at the whole picture — including the interactions, like iron that hides behind hardness or corrosion driven by low pH — because sizing a system to the wrong number is how undersized, underperforming installs happen.
Both. City and MUD water gets analyzed for hardness, disinfectant type and levels, and corrosion indicators. Well water adds iron, manganese, sulfur, bacteria, nitrates, pH and anything the local geology suggests — including radiologicals where the area calls for it.
