Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water

Crusader reverse osmosis systems deliver crisp, great-tasting drinking water at your tap — as fresh as a natural spring. Residential & commercial RO in Central Texas.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water

Reverse osmosis filters your drinking water down to the molecular level, removing dissolved solids, many contaminants, and the tastes and odors you don’t want. We can make restaurant drinking water as fresh as a natural spring — and do the same for your kitchen tap.

We stock two reverse-osmosis systems, both ready to install:

5-Stage Reverse Osmosis (RO-550) drinking water system

5-Stage Reverse Osmosis

Our everyday value system: 50 GPD, ~98% rejection, built with NSF-grade components. A great-tasting, economical choice — and its replacement filters are far more affordable: all five filters together cost about the same as a single premium-brand replacement filter. Spec sheet (PDF).

Pentair FreshPoint 475B 4-stage NSF-certified RO system

Pentair FreshPoint 475B (4-Stage, NSF-Certified)

When you need a fully certified system: NSF/ANSI 42, 53 & 58 (and CSA B483.1) certified for chlorine taste/odor, lead, cysts, TDS, arsenic, fluoride and more, with ~96% TDS rejection. Spec sheet (PDF).

Both reduce lead and other heavy metals, chlorine tastes and odors, pharmaceuticals, VOCs, pesticides and herbicides, cysts (like Cryptosporidium and Giardia), and dirty or discolored water. Not sure which fits your home? We’ll help you choose on a free estimate.

Microplastics: because the RO membrane filters far smaller than a micron, it physically removes the vast majority of microplastics — along with lead and PFAS “forever chemicals” — right at your drinking-water tap. The FreshPoint 475B is NSF-certified to Standards 42, 53 and 58; neither system is separately certified to a microplastics standard.

Remove Contaminates and Chemicals

Reverse osmosis drinking water systems have been protecting American homes for over 30 years. If you care about the flavor and quality of your water, then this is the kind of filter for you. Reverse osmosis technology is now more water-efficient than ever before, and the advanced filters in our systems address Lead, Cysts, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Chlorine, Chloramine, and Tastes & Odors.

Each filter is manufactured to the very highest standards and is certified to ensure it performs as claimed. Filter sequences can be customized to meet specific challenges, and the filters can be augmented with pH neutralizers, arsenic removers, fluoride removers, remineralizing cartridges, and alkaline water filters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does reverse osmosis remove fluoride, lead and PFAS?

Reverse osmosis reduces a very broad range of dissolved contaminants, including fluoride, lead and PFAS, because the membrane filters far below one micron. Our Pentair FreshPoint 475B is NSF-certified to Standards 42, 53 and 58 for these reductions; we also stock an economical 5-stage RO.

Does RO remove microplastics?

Yes — RO membranes physically block the vast majority of microplastics by size. (The unit isn't separately certified to a microplastics standard, but the mechanism reliably removes them.)

Does reverse osmosis waste a lot of water?

Modern RO systems are far more water-efficient than older units. The small amount of reject water is a worthwhile trade for removing dissolved solids and contaminants from your drinking water.

Should I pair RO with a water softener?

Yes — softened water actually helps an RO membrane last longer, and the two together give you scale-free water everywhere plus premium drinking water at the tap.
