Installed on your main line, it protects your home’s plumbing, water heater and appliances from scale and corrosion — and reduces chlorine taste and odor — without adding salt, using electricity, or producing wastewater.
Like all Active Armor conditioning, the Avenger conditions water to keep hardness minerals from forming scale rather than removing hardness the way a softener does — so you get scale and corrosion protection without the slick soft-water feel or the salt. It’s a good fit for homes on septic, in HOAs, or anywhere you want low-maintenance whole-home protection with no sodium added. And it doesn’t only prevent new scale — with continuous dosing, Active Armour also works to gradually break down and remediate scale and buildup already in your pipes, water heater and fixtures over time. Available in 1" models with 100,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of chlorine-reduction capacity.

The Avenger harnesses Active Armour™, a conditioner that acts as a “boundary-zone inhibitor”: it keeps hardness compounds from sticking to themselves — or to your pipes and fixtures — and forming scale. Its proprietary formula works uniformly from 40°F to 140°F, instead of breaking down like many phosphate compounds that clog pipes or build up deposits.
Beyond controlling scale, the safe chemistry of Active Armour™ bonds to the exposed metal of plumbing, faucets, water heaters and appliances, forming a protective nanolayer that guards against corrosion. Active Armour™ is a conditioner, not a softener — it controls scale and corrosion rather than removing hardness minerals.
