The Crusader Avenger is a simple, effective and budget-friendly salt-free system that prevents hard-water scale and protects your plumbing and appliances from corrosion. It harnesses Active Armour™, a “boundary-zone inhibitor” that stops calcium and magnesium carbonate from forming scale and bonds with exposed metal to form a protective nanolayer — all without adding salt, using electricity, or producing wastewater.
Active Armour works uniformly from 40°F to 140°F (it doesn’t break down like many phosphate compounds), and the Avenger also helps control chlorine and chloramine tastes and odors. It is a water conditioner, not a softener — it controls scale and corrosion rather than removing hardness minerals.
